Swing Tag Design & Artwork

Swing tag design process

The design hub connects the information a tag must communicate with the technical requirements of commercial print. Use it to plan size and hierarchy, prepare colour and typography, protect content from trim and hole areas, and supply usable files.

Begin with content and dimensions before styling the artwork. A visually strong layout can still fail in production if a barcode is too small, text crosses the safe area, images lack resolution or a finishing layer is not supplied separately.

Build a visual tag concept without specialist software. Add your logo, choose the format, shape, size, material, colours, finish and attachment, then export a preview or pass the specification into a quote.

A practical artwork workflow

  1. Confirm the specification. Fix the finished size, shape, fold, hole position, material, print sides and any finish before building the final file.
  2. Build the layout. Establish information hierarchy, keep essential elements inside the safe area and allow the attachment to sit without obscuring content.
  3. Prepare production elements. Use the requested colour mode, suitable image resolution, embedded or outlined fonts and separate vectors for foil, Spot UV or cutting paths where required.
  4. Preflight and proof. Check dimensions, bleed, codes, spelling, variable data and overprint behaviour before approval.

If you have brand assets but cannot prepare print-ready files, review the artwork design service and provide a clear content brief.
