Custom die-cut swing tags cut to your own outline
A custom die-cut swing tag is cut to an outline you supply, such as your logo, the silhouette of the product or a shape taken from your packaging. It is the route for any shape the builder's presets do not cover.
The outline is supplied as a vector cut line, called a dieline, on its own layer, with the artwork running past it and text kept clear of tight curves. In the Custom Tag Builder choose Custom Tag and upload a sketch, image or PDF of the shape; the dieline is confirmed with you before cutting.

Prepare the artwork
Plan the finished format before export
Supply the cut line as a single closed vector path on its own layer, clearly named, with the background running past it. A rough sketch is enough at the quote stage; a vector dieline is needed before production.
Avoid very thin necks, tight inside corners and small enclosed gaps, which are hard to cut cleanly and weaken the tag.

Is there a setup cost for a bespoke shape?
Yes. A new cutting form is made for the outline, which is a one-off cost carried on the first run and reused on repeats of the same shape.
How complex can the outline be?
Gentle curves and broad forms cut cleanly. Very narrow spurs, deep notches and fine internal detail tend to tear on the press or in handling.
Can a die-cut tag still take a standard hole?
Yes, and it should be planned as part of the outline rather than added afterwards, so it sits where the shape has enough material around it.
