String and ribbon determine how a swing tag attaches, hangs and feels in use. Cotton, twine, cord and satin ribbon differ in thickness, texture, colour and tying behaviour. Select the attachment using the product, hole size, tag weight and packing method.

Match attachment to context

Fine cord: Keeps a compact tag visually light and can suit jewellery or small gift products.
Cotton or twisted string: Provides a familiar general-purpose attachment with a softer feel.
Natural twine: Supports a rustic presentation but varies in texture and may shed fibres.
Ribbon: Adds colour and width but needs suitable hole clearance and more packing space.

Specify supply and finishing

State colour, material, diameter or ribbon width.
Give the finished loop or cut length.
Confirm loose, pre-looped, tied or fully attached supply.
Choose the knot or fastening method where appearance matters.
Test colour transfer and durability against delicate products.

Allow for packing and application

An attractive attachment can slow manual application or tangle in transit. Consider who will attach the tags, how many must be processed, whether products are packed tightly and whether the string should be removable without damage.
