How to use a standard template
- Choose the template matching the final width and height.
- Place backgrounds and images through the bleed boundary.
- Keep logos, text and codes inside the safe area.
- Treat trim and hole marks as non-printing technical elements.
- Check both front and reverse orientation before export.
File preparation
Use CMYK for process print and clearly name any approved spot colours. Embed placed images and outline or embed fonts. Images should have enough effective resolution at final size; enlarging a low-resolution image during layout does not add detail.
Final checks before upload
- Document size and units are correct.
- Bleed is included in the exported PDF.
- No crop marks sit inside the artwork area.
- Prices, URLs, barcodes and QR codes are tested.
- The drill hole does not obscure artwork.
- Special finishes are supplied as separate vector layers.
