Botanical leaf silhouette
Leaf Swing Tags
A leaf tag signals natural or botanical positioning through its outline, which means the material choice has to support the same claim.

A product-specific format
Leaf Swing Tags for product presentation
Leaf Swing Tags give product teams a dedicated format for the information and presentation requirements of the item being sold. The specification should begin with the product it will be attached to, then account for the information the tag needs to carry.
Use the form to record the final size, card direction, print sides, finishing and attachment for leaf swing tags. This keeps the practical decisions together before artwork is supplied or confirmed.

Short seasonal runs where the leaf reads as autumnal rather than botanical.
Additional information
Build the specification
Leaf Swing Tags specification
- The tip is the failure point
- A leaf narrows to a point, and that point bends and lifts before anything else. It sets both the board weight and the minimum practical size.
- Material has to match the message
- A leaf-shaped tag on bleached white coated board undercuts its own claim. Recycled, kraft and uncoated boards are the honest choices here.
- Stem or no stem
- A drawn stem is more fragile than it looks. Many leaf dies stop at the base of the leaf and let the hole do the work instead.
- Vein detail
- Printed veins hold on a coated sheet and close up on a rough recycled one. Choose the level of detail after the stock, not before.
Artwork and file guidance
Prepare the artwork
Plan the finished format before export
Keep essential leaf swing tags copy clear of the trim edge and attachment area. The page-specific artwork guidance explains the considerations for formats, holes, folds and variable product information.
Build the artwork on a brown ground rather than white when proofing on screen, because every ink prints over the kraft base. White has to be laid down as an opaque ink or left as a foil, not assumed from the page.
If leaf swing tags artwork is not final, submit the product and specification details first. This gives the production conversation a clear starting point without forcing a premature file upload.

Questions and answers
Questions before you order
Leaf Swing Tags FAQs
Which stock suits a leaf tag?
Recycled, kraft or uncoated board. The shape makes a natural-materials claim, and a bleached coated sheet contradicts it before anyone reads the tag.
Will the pointed tip survive handling?
Only if the board is heavy enough. The tip is where a leaf tag fails, so specify a heavier weight than you would use for a rectangle, or blunt the point slightly in the die.
Can printed veins be included?
On a coated or lightly coated sheet, yes. On a rough recycled board fine vein lines close up and turn into a smudge, so simplify the artwork or change the stock.
