A multi-panel fold
Concertina fold tags for long care and product stories
Concertina fold tags fold back and forth in a zig-zag, opening into three or more panels. They carry more than a single fold can: multi-language care instructions, a full product story, a size chart or a step-by-step guide.
Each panel has to read in order, and type must stay clear of the score lines where the card bends. The concertina template shows the panel layout; give the number of panels and the folded size in the Custom Tag Builder.

Concertina Fold Tags start at 180 × 60mm measured flat on coated one side card. Each numbered part of the diagram is a choice you can change in the order panel.

- Front print areaLogo and brand name, printed full colour, in one to three colours or a Pantone match.

- Bleed3mm of artwork past every trim edge, so colour runs cleanly to the cut.

- Panels and folded size
- State the number of panels and the size of the tag when folded. The flat size is that width multiplied by the panel count.
- Card weight
- A mid-weight card folds more cleanly than heavy board, which can crack along the score lines of a multi-panel tag.
- Fold and hole position
- Put the hole in the front panel, clear of every fold, so the tag still opens fully when attached.
- Panel order
- Set the artwork out on the concertina template so each panel faces the right way when the tag opens.
- Finishing
- Lamination can help the folds last; tell us if the tag will be opened and closed often.
- Quantity and date
- Share the quantity, number of versions and delivery date so the quote reflects the real requirement.

How many panels can a concertina tag have?
Three panels is the usual starting point. More is possible, but each extra panel adds width when the tag is flat and more folds to keep in register; describe the panel count you need in your notes.
Is a concertina tag different from a folded tag?
A folded tag has one fold and two panels. A concertina folds back and forth, so it opens into three or more panels in a row.
Do concertina tags arrive folded?
Tell us how you want them supplied. Scored flat sheets pack more compactly; folded tags save time when they are attached.
Can every panel be printed?
Yes. Both sides of each panel can carry print, so a three-panel tag gives six printable faces.
